Onechanbara bikini samurai squad game save

User reviews 21 Review. Top review. A bikini samurai squad fighting zombies. How does this not have an Oscar? Hot girls in bikinis and cowboy hats fighting school girls with samurai swords. Copious amounts of blood and gore. Yep, this must be Japanese.

Onechanbara is another entry into the quite popular ultra-gory, shock-action genre of Japanese movies. It's over-the-top in a thousand different ways, and more akin to a video game which it's based on than most movies. All the violence is stylized and not the least bit realistic, which fits the tone of the movie perfectly.

There's lots of random slow-mo and guns that never need to be reloaded, and even the emotional moments and special effects are handled in a thoroughly cheesy way. There's lots of fighting and enough of a plot to string it all together.

What more do you need? As for the story, there's an evil scientist with a weird eye, something about a search for a couple of sisters, and more importantly loads o' zombies. I have no idea how closely the plot adheres to that of the games, and I'm pretty sure that the people who made the movie probably don't, either. If you're curious about why Aya wears a bikini and has a sword that appears to be magic, or why Reiko's shotgun never runs out of ammo This nothing more than absurd action entertainment, and it ended up being better than I thought it would be.

However, during the course of their research The Organization determines that she is of no further use to them. Afraid of being disposed of, Misery breaks away from her allies and goes after the sisters alone in order to acquire their blood for herself.

The scientific technology of The Organization has realized perfect cloning. Their techniques are being used to create an endless army of clones. Reiko is the source of these clones and she has direct control over them. In their previous struggle it appeared that Aya killed Reiko.

However, Reiko survived due to the blow being administered with the back of Aya's sword. Although he appears to be a regular man Ying is a zombie created by The Organization's zombie technology. Unlike other undead creatures he possesses higher reasoning and superior physical strength. He acts as Himiko's servant, secretary, and bodyguard.

David was, originally, Anna's brother. He was zombified as a warning to all who resist The Organization. As a result he lost all memory of having been her brother and attacks Anna for the sake of The Organization.

At the last, held by his sister, he recovered some semblance of the memories of his former life Himiko is the leader of The Organization. She is said to be two or even three hundred years old thanks to her many research discoveries. Himiko seeks to obtain Saki, and more importantly her blood, in order to gain massive power and eternal youth. She is bestowed with an evil smile and overwhelming eldritch power.

This is the true, almighty Himiko, far removed from her previous withered self. Through most of Onechanbara, without the help of a walkthrough, you'll be frustratingly lost. This awful presentation is the final nail in the coffin. The entire package is very confused, straight down to the gameplay that oftentimes doesn't give any hint on what you're supposed to be doing or where you should go.

Case in point: One stage puts you on a motorcycle. Ignore the fact that it handles worse than an old Honda CRX without power steering. The problem is that the game doesn't tell you how to control the bike.

Strike one. It then doesn't tell you what you're supposed to do while on the bike. You might think you're supposed to kill the zombies in front of you. That is what you've been doing the entire game. You're actually supposed to just keep driving forward dodging attacks until the level ends. Strike two. Oh, there's also only one city block in the level.

When you reach the end you can watch the background flash and suddenly find yourself at the beginning of the block again. Too many strikes. That's just one example of the poor presentation, but by no means is it the only one. There are moves each girl can do beyond simple button mashing, but play through the game and you'd never know it. There is no tutorial at the outset of the story mode and the manual offers no help. There's a Quest Mode that offers up a series of objectives to complete The story is complete nonsense, made worse by the fact that this is the first Onechanbara game to release in the States and there is no frame of reference provided for what happened in past entrants to the franchise.

I could go on, but you get the point.
